Weather yesterday: sunny and in the 60’s.
Weather today: overcast and snowy.
There’s only one thing to do when life gives you snow.
Make soup.
Work puzzles.
Train your puppy to ‘ATTACK!’.
Take artsy pictures of the hot chocolate snowman pitcher.
Try not to think about sunbathing in Florida a few short weeks ago.
Very soon I will gather my warm blooded children around me under a down blanket and suggest we read the rest of Oliver Twist to pass time for the rest of this cold night. Most likely they will continue playing Spore (Golfer)/Animal Crossing (Naturalist)/Smash Brothers (Sassy), but we’ll see what a little hot chocolate bribe will do!

Oh yes, soup. We have made a LOT of soup lately.
Look at your lovely nails! I still have the play-doh watercolors digging in stuff nails.
Nails – I don’t even think I’ve filed mine in weeks.
And before that was probably a year!
thats right – you went to Florida…I don’t feel sorry for you! I haven’t seen warmth in MONTHS!
HUMPH!
hehehe
Hope the bribe worked for you.
Ah yes, my nails.
When Naturalist turned 12 and reached babysitting age (which coincided with my freedom from digging in kids diapers), I vowed to treat myself to something nice every so often while she babysits the kids. That thing? Manicures, baby!
